廣州鋼鐵廠的東風 5

八十年代到廣州旅行,那時候在海珠區珠江旁,望向泥濁河水的彼方,是我認為當時廣州的「最南端」,直至 21 世紀,我都未曾踩踏足芳村、鶴洞等地(更南面的番禺和大學城不算,因為我不是經廣州去的),因此,從未到訪過運作中的廣州鋼鐵廠。

廣州鋼鐵廠於一九五八年投產,二零一零年宣布停產,至二零一三年完全停止運作。今天,敞大的廠區已經拆卸,變成住宅區,僅存的一片小小廠房,或者保留作遺址公園,何去何從仍未有定案。
廠區裏仍有冶煉爐、運輸帶、起重機、辦公室、運輸火車及車卡,其中一台蒸汽火車頭十幾年前已退役,被掉在某幢廠房前的空地,任由風化,這片空地現時成為了交警用作扣留違法汽車場地,蒸汽火車頭和被扣查車輛泊在一起,有趣又傷感。

東風 5
廠區另一端有一台東風 5 火車頭,它更可憐,身陷乾固的泥氹裏,狼狽不堪。據車上紀錄,火車頭二零一三年大修,似乎是服役至廣州鋼鐵廠最後一刻。僅僅四年光陰不足以讓它生銹風化,但沒有交警保護下,車上能夠被拆走的東西已被拆走。

機務段的東風 5

「廢墟保存歷史或文化云云……」說法略嫌片面 — 看完被埋在廢堆裏的東風火車頭後,離開廣州鋼鐵廠,經過附近的機務段,竟然遇到活生生的東風 5 準備上路。機務段員工指指 CCTV 位置,示意我走到 CCTV 盲點,爬上閃亮的車上取景和構圖 — 幸然我不是玩廢墟的,所以能夠從更高的視野看「活着」的人和事,不是更有意義嗎?
黃昏,從廣州乘搭幾乎在廣深線消失了的綠皮列車往深圳,又是另一個有趣故事。
