庫斯科是印加帝國的首都，當西班牙人入侵 + 幾次地震，很多印加寺廟和皇宮消失，取而代之是天主教堂，市內真正反映印加及殖民時期的完整建築所剩無幾。

經過三天義工開山掘路及漁護署工人建造，全新越野單車徑「河背繞道」於 2013 年 3 月 17 日開幕。由於舊有路線近年嚴重水土流失，為防止進一步惡化及保護當地生態，漁護署計劃建造新路，從荃錦坳管制站旁邊的體驗徑開始，連接至河背下陂路前數公里處，義工們稱為「河背繞道」。
